less than 48 hours before the start of EURO 2012.
the economic crisis has been grabbing the headlines in Europe for months now.
but I hope EURO 2012 will provide a month of relief and joy.
I am off to Ukraine on Friday for 10 days of first round matches. then I come home for a few days and then fly back again to the same country for the knock-out stage.
I am excited . I got more than 60 tickets for this tournament so I could choose which games to see.
of the 2 host countries, Poland has better infrastructure and probably a more interesting place for tourists.
but UEFA arranged the draw so that the rich countries (Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, France and England) play in Ukraine while the most of PIIGS (Italy, Ireland, Greece and Spain) play in Poland (exception is Portugal).
speaking of animals, Poland and Ukraine have different rules about what one can bring into the country. UEFA just sent me these rules and Poland allows up to 5 pets. Ukraine, on the other hand, allows 3 mammals, 3 birds and 20 fish.
so if I go to Poland for a match with my 4 dogs and then I drive over to Ukraine for another game, I have to leave one dog behind?
so much for european Union! Panini also is trying to destroy european Union.
for this EURO, they came out with different stickers for diffrent countries. for stickers sold in Suisse, the border is gold. those in German have purple borders and the rest of europe gets white.
well for me and my godson Jaronas, we have white border
I don't know if England will win this EURO but I will support them. When I am in the stadium next Monday for England-France, I will cheer hard for number 9 to score. That's Andy Carroll of Liverpool
and when he scored, I will sing...
hands,
touching hands,
reaching out
scoring goals
number 9
sweet Carroll 9, bah bah bah
scoring never looked so good!!
goals all the time, bah bah bah
just like Kenny said he would...
