where Guardiola will work next season

when I was at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala last week, I ran into Pep Guardiola but before I had a chance to stop him and asked 'is it true you will work in ??? next season?', he had gone over to the restricted area.

2012 had been a bad year for soccer coaches. so many soccer coaches were fired last year and with so many unemployed soccer coaches, the impatient owners believed their teams could improve quickly by hiring a new coach.

this phenomenon did not happen just to the big clubs in the big leagues. In little Suisse, 6 of the 10 top clubs had already fired their coaches during the Fall of 2012.

the trend will continue in 2013. With Guardiola itching to end his sabbatical leave and with Mourinho most likely will end his time at Madrid, 2 top coaches will be available for those impatient owners.

where will Guardiola go?

I don't want to see him at Chelsea, the club whose owner is not know for his patience. in the summer of 2008, the World Cup winning coach Scolari was hired only to be fired by the following February because the club had a bad run.

I don't want to see Guardiola at Paris St Germain, another club with rich owner. In December 2011, with the club in first place in the French league, the owner decided to fire the coach because he was not a big name. He was a former player of PSG and a loyal employee. But out went Kombouaré and in came Ancelotti, a coach who was sacked by Chelsea a few months earlier!

my hope is Guardiola will go to FC Bayern Munich. Here is a well run club who plays in the most exciting soccer league in the world and who got to the Final of the Champions League twice in the last 3 years.

both times, Bayern lost to clubs who have rich owners and who spend lots of money and who fire coaches constantly.

my last soccer game of 2012 was at the Allianz Arena. FC Bayern played Borussia Moenchengladbach to a draw.

my first soccer game of 2013 was a friendly in Basel last Saturday. The opponent was FC Bayern.

in both games, I got to see the little Swiss superstar Shaqiri.

Shaqiri will be to Guardiola at Bayern what Messi was to Guardiola at Barcelona.

and who knows, may be Shaqiri can win not just the Bundesliga and the Champions League but he can lead the Swiss team to World Cup victory.

for me, he is the Swiss Maradona.

Guardiola to Bayern, Bayern to win Champions League with 3 years and Switzerland will win the next World Cup in Brazil.

you heard these first from me!!!
